It’s February 8, 2013 and AllTriberr just got a brand new facelift. A whole new redesign.

Perfect timing, because guess what?

Triberr.com is getting a complete overhaul.

On February 18th Triberr will be holding an exclusive Sneak Peak showing off the new Triberr website.

That’s right, Triberr is getting a major re-design, and I’ve seen it. It’s beautiful.

They’ve been working hard to completely revamp Triberr, and on February 18th Triberr Prime and Prime Lite members will be invited to an exclusive online showing of the all new re-designed website.

Triberr Sneak Peek Sessions

Beginning the week of the 18th, Triberr will hold 3 Sneak Peek sessions so if you can’t make one, there’s another one you can jump on. After the 3rd session is over, Triberr will begin activating the new design for Prime and Prime Lite members.

During this early access period Prime and Lite members can switch back and forth between the new and old versions. (So cool!)

Feedback on Triberr Design

During that time, Triberr will be collecting feedback, and making any necessary tweaks before rolling it out to the larger member base in March.

We’ll (Triberr and AllTriberr) be posting details on the Sneak Peak showings on both the Triberr blog and here at AllTriberr. In addition, there will be email updates.

If you want to be in on the action, make sure you sign up for Prime or Prime Lite before February 11th to get your invite.

Check out Prime memberships here.

We are all very excited about the new look, and we hope you are too.

P.S. As the new site design is rolled out on Triberr, we will be updating most of the posts here – most of the information will no longer be accurate for the site. Please hang tight will we make the changes. Thank you.

When first getting the hang of Triberr, many people have a lot of questions, and one of the most frequently asked questions is about how to read the “My Posts” area and what it all means. Here is a quick explanation to help.

#1. Shares – This is how many of your tribemates have shared your posts. Most of the time it will not be every single one of them. Sometimes they decide they don’t want to share it. Sometimes they decide it doesn’t fit their audience. Sometimes they might go on vacation and your post will leave their stream before they ever see it to approve it (4 days).

#2. Clicks – This is the # of clicks all those shares got. My post had 425 clicks via the 81 tribemates that shared it.

#3. Comments – This is the # of comments people left on your post via the Triberr comment system. Unfortunately, if you don’t have the Triberr Comment Plugin set up on your blog, you will not get these comments except anywhere but on Triberr.

#4. Up Votes – This is just a way to let people know you really like what they shared or that it is good quality. This is how many people “upped” your post.

#5. Reblogs – If you have the Triberr Plugin on your blog, you can say yes or no to reblogging with each post that you write. If you allow reblogging, this is the # of times that post has been reblogged on someone else’s blog.

#6. Sent – This means that your post was successfully sent out to your tribes. If this says NEW instead, it means that either it hasn’t yet been sent out to to your tribemates OR you don’t have something set up correctly. If it says DUPLICATE it is because an identical post already exists in the system.

Triberr always has something under the belt and in development. Looks like they’ve been busy because they have rolled out a new area called “Shields”!

What are shields?

Well, they are what they sound like. They are shields or badges that you earn. You unlock them and display them.

Where do find the shields?

Under your profile drop down menu on the blue nav bar, right side. You’ll see a new area called “Shields”.

What can I earn them for?

At this time, there are only a handful, but they are relatively easy to earn.

Chief Shield - Grow a tribe to 10 members – Earn 10 bones

Great Chief Shield - Grow your tribe to 20 members – Earn 20 bones

Might Chief Shield - Grow your tribe to 30 members – Earn 30 bones

Sprinter Shield – Log into triberr 7 days in a row – Earn 10 bones

Runner Shield - Log into triberr 14 days in a row – Earn 20 bones

Marathon Shield - Log into triberr 21 days in a row – Earn 30 bones

Chief of the New World Shield - Create an AUTOMATIC Tribe – Earn 80 Bones

TribeUp NYC Shield - Attend TribeUp NYC 2012 - Earn 40 bones

Are there more coming?

Oh yes!

Do you have an idea for a shield? Tell us in the comments below.

Have you earned a shield yet? Go, go now. Earn some bones!

It’s been a busy week at Triberr HQ. Today we’re happy to announce that we are releasing full integration with LinkedIn!

Why LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is a popular destination network, and a great source of traffic for bloggers. It just made sense to extend the sharing capabilities to the 3 largest networks.

How do I connect my LinkedIn account?
Go to your Account Settings -> LinkedIn settings and add your account there. After that you can log into Triberr using the “Sign in with LinkedIn” button on the homepage.

What will happen when I connect my LinkedIn account?
After you connect your account, and assign it to your tribes, you can simply click the big “Approve” button in your Tribal Stream and Triberr will share your tribemates post to all 3 networks.

Enjoy!
Dan Cristo, Triberr

Triberr is super happy to announce a few changes to the invite system that we’re pretty sure that everyone will like.

1) Invites will now be free to send, and free to accept. Neither action will cost any bones. Did you hear that? No bones!

2) There will be only 1 type of invite going forward, and those will be existing member invites. You won’t be able to put in a non-members email to send them an invite. When you see reference to “inbreeding invite vs. new member invite” ignore it – now – there’s only one.

If they aren’t on Triberr, ask them to join, then send them an member invite at no bone cost to you.

3) Revoking invites have been removed. Since invites are free, revoking them doesn’t matter much. If you change your mind about someone who joined your tribe, you can remove them.

4) The price of a new tribe will increase. Since tribes will be easier to fill up, Triberr has bumped up the price of a new tribe to prevent abuse.

Why were these changes made?
The invite system was complex. Triberr wanted to simplify things for their members, and they wanted everyone to join the site through the same path. This way they can optimize that experience making it better for all involved.

Triberr wants people to connect with others, but they also wanted to protect against abuse. They charged bones. Now that the 30 member tribe limit is in place, they feel that protects against abuse, and they can lift the bone limit.

So are you ready to build YOUR tribe?

One of the best ways to find a tribe to join, is to simply post in the bonfires and let people know what kind of blog you have, and what kind of tribe you’d like to belong to. The most successful tribes are niche oriented or have a specific focus.

If you don’t want to bother with posting in the bonfires, or you have and are waiting for someone to invite you, you can also browse tribes on the site and request to join them. I’d like to show you how.

How to Join a Tribe on Triberr

1. You need to go to your Tribes drop down on the blue navigation bar. The first selection should be Browse All Tribes. Click that.

2. This will open a new page titled Browse Tribes. You will need to add some categories so it knows what to show you. Click on the +Add button.

3. A new page will open up with the categories that you can choose. You can choose only one category or you could technically choose them all, but I strongly urge you to try to keep your choices small at first.

4. Once you have clicked on a category, it will turn blue to let you know you have chosen it. Once you have selected all the categories you want, click on Start Connecting.

5. You will now be taken back to the Browse Tribes page and you will see a tribe shown. On the left you can see the members. You can see their reach, the category and over on the right you can see two double blue arrows. If you cannot see them, please use Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer is not supported by Triberr, you will run into other issues as you are trying to use the site. Use the double arrows to move onto the next tribe.

6. Once you have found a tribe you’d like to join, you can click on Join Tribe.

7. A drop down box will appear telling you to leave 3 meaningful comments on tribe posts. This does not mean say “I agree”. It means, read the article and then come back and comment something useful. You will need to do this three times.

8. Once you have left your third comment, you will see a green box pop up that lets you know that you have left 3 comments in that tribe. It will then ask if you’d like to be introduced to the chief of that tribe. Click Yes, Introduce Me.

9. At this point, you will see a confirmation appear that shows that your request has been sent to the chief. That’s it. Now you must wait to see if the tribe has open spots, is accepting new members or if the chief thinks you are a good fit. In the meantime, you can continue browsing more tribes and provide more requests.

That’s it!

Many already know how to to accept a triberr invite for a tribe, but not everyone does. I think that when you first come into Triberr, you aren’t quite sure what you’re doing and you might need some direction. So here we go.

New to Triberr – No Account – Triberr Invite

First of all, if you are brand new to Triberr, as in you don’t have an account yet – you probably received an invite to a tribe via DM on Twitter or an email.

Email Notification – Already a Member

So you received an email that stated you’d been invited to join a tribe on Triberr. You are already a member but you aren’t real sure where you’re supposed to find that invite or how you’re supposed to accept it.

Let me show you.

This is similar to what the email you receive should look like.

But where do you find the invite when you are inside your Triberr profile?

1. Click on Home on the Blue Navigation Bar.
2. On the left side you will see a spot that says My Invites. Click that.

3. Here’s where you will always find all of your inbreeding invites from now on. They will always be here, if they were sent correctly.

4. If you know you should have an invite there and it isn’t, try contacting the chief who sent it and double check to be sure they sent it correctly. Best way is to have them find you on Triberr and use the Invite to Tribe button on your actual profile.

Triberr is making some changes, and a whole new area is coming soon. How soon? Still not sure about that – after all, coding takes time, so be patient. But soon, very soon, there will be a great new area to earn bones and spend bones.

I’ll leave you with this. Yes, it’s a hint.
