How To Assign Your Twitter & RSS Feed to Your Tribes

by Nicole Cook

You may receive an error message at the top of your screen or on the right side of your screen that lets you know that a particular tribe is missing an RSS feed. This is how you fix that. (P.S. Sometimes it can be an issue without the warning message)

Step 1: Click on the Tribes link on the blue navigation bar. Select the Tribe that is having the problem. For me it is my tribe That’s What She Said, but for you it could be more than one tribe so you will have to go to each tribe individually.

As you can see from the photo below, it’s showing that there are only 2 people in the tribe right now. But with me, it should be three. So I can see the tribe, which indicates I am IN the tribe but I am not showing up on the user list.

You will need to click on Tribe Settings on the left side of the screen (indicated by the 3rd arrow).

Step 2: When you get into the Tribe Settings you will probably notice that there are warning symbols next to both the Twitter Account and the RSS Feed. You need to set these two settings up.

Step 3: Start with Selected Twitter Account. As you can see from the graphic below, I have two twitter accounts that I have registered on Triberr. I use my alltriberr one for this tribe, so I am going to select that one.

Step 4: Next as you can see I have 3 RSS feeds assigned to my Triberr account. I am going to select the one I want to use in this tribe, which happens to be my alltriberr RSS feed.

Step 5: Last step, click save and you should be good to go. While you’re at it, you might want to make sure that you have each of your tribes set up the way you want them.

That’s it for this tutorial. More coming soon.

There is no tribe setting buttons. Just the tribe and member.

If there is no tribe setting link you are not in the right place. The blue navigation bar at the top has the word Tribes on it. Click that and a drop down menu will appear with the names of the tribes you belong to. Click on the tribe you want to check, and it will open it up. This puts you directly in the tribe.
The other way you are probably looking is from your homepage and clicking on My Tribes – but that isn’t the correct way to get inside a tribe.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can help further.

I go to the Tribe, click the “setting” button, select the twitter account (I have 2), but there is no RSS to set/click. None. I’m a member of 7 tribes (2 defunct, 5 active) and my blogs go thru to only one of these. Help! I’m ready to quit, have been helping out fellow bloggers but there’s no help for me.

Mary, thank you. It’s so nice to know it helps. Never hesitate to ask something if you don’t know. It’s easy enough to get a post up helping someone. :)
Take care and enjoy your Triberr experience!

Hey Nicole, how do I assign a twitter account to a new tribe I was invited to? It just keeps sending me to this page and when I go to my settings it sends me to the sunday supper tribe.
Thanks!
